SK2 Custom Homes has experience serving the Montana market for years, with many homes traveling across the border. We know the ins and outs of making the building and moving process stress-free for you and we are a member of the Residential Warranty Company in the US.
Our homes are designed and engineered for your location, and are inspected by a qualified third party agency who is authorized by the state to inspect our homes.
Our specialty is helping clients in markets where labour conditions make it difficult to build a home on site. If you have a hard time finding a contractor or home builder, we’re here to help. In many areas of Montana, we have worked with onsite contractors to help our clients complete their projects. If we know of a good contractor in your area, we’ll happily connect you.
We supply you with a fully finished home, from the joists up, but you’ll have to hire some trades for the onsite portion of the build. We provide you with the detail you need to gather their bids. We often help our clients review bids, and if we have trades that we’ve worked with in your area, we’re happy to connect you with them!
Engineered trusses, wall systems, floor systems, extra sheathing, construction adhesive - these are just a few of the extra details that go into our homes to ensure that they’re built to last! Our homes travel from our location to your build site - all in one piece! Contact us to learn more about how we build, and how these little details leave you with a solid home that is build to last!
Transporting a new home from one location to another sounds daunting! Rest easy, we work with the best building movers in the business. From loading, to hauling, to setting the home, our crew handles your home with the care that it deserves! Our pricing includes transportation costs - one less thing for you to worry about.
For the last few years, the US dollar has been worth between $1.30-$1.40 in Canadian dollars. This means you have significant buying power when SK2 builds your home! For simplicity, we quote all of our Montana clients in US funds, and include shipping costs and Montana state taxes.
Time! You’re able to save time by starting your foundation while we work on the main floor!
All of our homes are built on our yard - this means our site supervisor is able to keep an eye on trades and materials, and catch the little details. All of our homes are within a few hundred feet of each other. You can imagine how this is a smoother process than building onsite, with a site supervisor spending most of his day travelling from one site to another, and less time in the homes that are being built.
Excellent communication is key when building your custom prefab home. We believe in no surprises. If you need a hand envisioning your pre built home's design, we'll bring the 2D design into 3D for you to fully visualize what your future home will look like! Plus, you'll have frequent video calls and walkthroughs with our team. So even when you can’t be at our site, you know the exact status of your home's construction.
Are you a veteran? If so, thank you for your service! 🇺🇸

Just like on a first date, we want to get to know you, and you to know us, so we can build on this relationship. Don’t worry, we have put together a list of questions to pin-point your style, to understand your needs now, and more importantly, your needs in the future.
Every home we build is a custom home. When you contact us and fill out our home design form, we'll send you some sample plans that we've built for other families, or you can send your ideas to us. We understand that every family has different needs and encourage your feedback. We'll also give recommendations based on our years of experience.
Depending on where you are building, we may be able to recommend some good contractors for you to get in touch with.
For pre-built homes in Montana we offer a one year workmanship warranty and 10 year structure warranty.
Yes absolutely! Our RTM homes destined for Montana are inspected by third party inspectors, which means they meet all requirements for your state.
During our building process with SK2, we always felt informed on both the progress of our house and where we were financially with the build. Our favorite part of the process was being given so many options that through the relationships we had with the builders, they were able to tailor to match our style.
We get it, you are full of questions and feel like you don’t know where to start. That is about to change. Sign up for our newsletter and we will share insights about every step of the build and inspire you with the amazing homes our friends have built.
